SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM: CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION
CAUTION: Be sure to read "PRECAUTION" thoroughly before servicing Service and Repair.

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION: Wait for at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent airbag deployment.
NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Repair Instruction - Initialization

3. REMOVE CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY (w/o Smart Key System) Removal

4. REMOVE CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY (w/ Smart Key System) Removal

5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH Removal

6. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Removal

7. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Air Conditioning System) Removal

8. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Air Conditioning System) Removal

9. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH
HINT: Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side Removal.

10. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH
HINT: Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side Removal.

11. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

12. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

13. REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

14. REMOVE NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX DUCT (w/o Rear Air Conditioning System) Removal

15. REMOVE LOWER REAR CONSOLE BOX Removal

16. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY (w/o Rear Air Conditioning System) Removal

17. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY (w/ Rear Air Conditioning System) Removal

18. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX INSERT Removal

19. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX INSERT Removal

20. REMOVE CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY






(a) Disconnect the holder (with connectors).
NOTE: When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

(b) Remove the 3 bolts and center airbag sensor assembly.
