DTC C1AE9 - Rear Right Sensor Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The No. 2 ultrasonic sensor RH is installed on the rear bumper. The ECU detects obstacles based on signals received from the No. 2 ultrasonic sensor RH. If the No. 2 ultrasonic sensor RH has an open or other malfunction, it will not function normally.






INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTE: If the DTC is output after repairs, turn the engine switch on (IG) and move the shift lever to R. Then clear the DTC.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT
(a) Clear the DTCs. Intuitive Parking Assist System.
(b) Check for DTCs. Intuitive Parking Assist System.

A -- Continue to next step.
2. REPLACE NO. 2 ULTRASONIC SENSOR RH
(a) Replace the No. 2 ultrasonic sensor RH with a normally functioning sensor.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK DTC OUTPUT
(a) Clear the DTCs. Intuitive Parking Assist System.
(b) Check for DTCs. Intuitive Parking Assist System.

A -- REPLACE CLEARANCE WARNING ECU
