Hazard Warning Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The turn signal flasher receives a hazard warning signal switch information signal, and illuminates the turn signal lights.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM
(a) Operate the Techstream according to the steps on the display and select "Active Test".

OK:
All hazard warning signal lights flash.
NG -- INSPECT HAZARD WARNING SIGNAL SWITCH
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
2. INSPECT HAZARD WARNING SIGNAL SWITCH





(a) Remove the hazard warning signal switch Removal.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:






NG -- REPLACE HAZARD WARNING SIGNAL SWITCH
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HAZARD WARNING SIGNAL SWITCH - TURN SIGNAL FLASHER AND BODY GROUND)





(a) Disconnect the F11 switch connector.
(b) Disconnect the E19 relay connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE TURN SIGNAL FLASHER
