ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

1. INSPECT CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY
(a) Check the operation.
(1) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(2) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(3) Turn the Techstream ON.
(4) Start the engine and warm it up.
(5) Select the menu items: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Active Test / Control the VVT System.
(6) Operate the OCV using the Techstream, then check the engine speed.
Standard:





If the operation is not as specified, check the camshaft timing oil control valve, wire harness and ECM.
