3MZ-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: ECM:

REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Repair Instruction - Initialization).

2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH (for Coupe) (Removal)

3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH (Removal)

4. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (Removal)

5. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (Removal)

6. REMOVE NO.1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (Removal)

7. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH LOWER PANEL RH (Removal)

8. REMOVE ECM





(a) Remove the 2 wire harness clamps.
(b) Disconnect the 5 ECM connectors.
(c) Remove the 2 nuts and ECM.
9. REMOVE ECM BRACKET





(a) Remove the 2 screws and ECM bracket.
10. REMOVE ECM BRACKET NO.2





(a) Remove the 2 screws and ECM bracket.
