SEAT: FRONT POWER SEAT CONTROL SYSTEM:

INSPECTION

1. INSPECT FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH





(a) Only on the driver side:
Measure the resistance between the terminals when each switch is operated.
Resistance:
Slide switch





Front vertical switch





Lifter switch





Reclining switch





If the result is not as specified, replace the switch.
2. INSPECT POWER SEAT SWITCH ASSEMBLY (LUMBAR SUPPORT)





(a) Only on the driver side:
Measure the resistance between the terminals when the switch is operated.
Standard Resistance:





If the result is not as specified, replace the switch assembly.
3. INSPECT FRONT SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY





(a) Only on the driver side:
Check operation of the slide motor.
(1) Check if the motor rotates smoothly when the battery is connected to the slide motor connector terminals.
OK:





If the result is not as specified, replace the slide motor.





(b) Only on the driver side:
Check operation of the vertical motor.
(1) Check if the motor rotates smoothly when the battery is connected to the vertical motor connector terminals.
OK:





If the result is not as specified, replace the vertical motor.





(c) Only on the driver side:
Check operation of the lifter motor.
(1) Check if the motor rotates smoothly when the battery is connected to the lifter motor connector terminals.
OK:





If the result is not as specified, replace the lifter motor.





(d) Only on the driver side:
Check operation of the reclining motor.
(1) Check if the motor rotates smoothly when the battery is connected to the reclining motor connector terminals.
OK:





If the result is not as specified, replace the reclining motor.
4. INSPECT LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY





(a) Only on the driver side:
Check operation of the lumbar support adjuster motor.
(1) Check if the motor rotates smoothly when the battery is connected to the lumbar support adjuster motor connector terminals.
OK:





If the result is not as specified, replace the adjuster motor.
