SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM: CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION
HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures described below are for the LH side.

1. PRECAUTION
CAUTION: Read "PRECAUTION" thoroughly before servicing Service Precautions.

2. INSTALL CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Install the curtain shield airbag assembly LH with the 13 bolts in the order shown in the illustration.





Torque: 9.8 Nm (100 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)
NOTE: Do not twist the curtain shield airbag assembly LH when installing it.

(b) Install the clip.





(c) Connect the connector to the curtain shield airbag assembly LH.
NOTE: When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

3. INSTALL ASSIST GRIP RETAINER LH





(a) Install the the assist grip retainer LH with the 2 bolts.
4. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING
HINT: Refer to the procedures from "INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING" Installation.

5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Torque: 3.9 Nm (40 kgf-cm, 35 in-lbf)
6. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
(a) Perform initialization Testing and Inspection.
HINT: Some systems need initialization when disconnecting the cable from the negative battery terminal.

7. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
(a) Inspect the SRS warning light Diagnosis System.
