AIR CONDITIONING: CONDENSER: INSTALLATION
INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the cooler condenser assembly as shown in the illustration.
(b) Install the 4 bolts.
HINT: If the condenser is replaced with a new one, add compressor oil to the new condenser.
Capacity:
40 cc (1.4 fl.oz.)
Compressor oil:
ND-8 or equivalent
2. CONNECT COOLER REFRIGERANT LIQUID PIPE A
(a) Remove the attached vinyl tape from the tube and the connecting part of the cooler condenser assembly.
(b) Sufficiently apply compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the tube joint.
Compressor oil:
ND-OIL 8 or equivalent
(c) Install the O-ring on the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe A.
(d) Install the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe A on the cooler condenser assembly with the bolt.
Torque: 9.8 Nm (100 kgf-cm, 87 in-lbf)
3. CONNECT DISCHARGE TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the attached vinyl tape from the pipe and the connecting part of the cooler condenser assembly.
(b) Sufficiently apply compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the pipe joint.
Compressor oil:
ND-OIL 8 or equivalent
(c) Install the O-ring on the discharge tube sub-assembly.
(d) Install the discharge tube sub-assembly on the cooler condenser assembly with the bolt.
Torque: 9.8 Nm (100 kgf-cm, 87 in-lbf)
4. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 1AR-FE) Installation
5. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 2GR-FE) Installation
6. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (w/o Engine Hood Courtesy Switch) Installation
7. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (w/ Engine Hood Courtesy Switch) Installation
8. INSPECT HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY Testing and Inspection
9. ADJUST HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY Adjustments
10. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET (for 1AR-FE) Installation
11. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET (for 2GR-FE)
12. INSTALL NO. 2 AIR CLEANER INLET (for 1AR-FE) Installation
13. INSTALL NO. 2 AIR CLEANER INLET (for 2GR-FE)
14. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE Installation
15. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Installation
16. CHARGE WITH REFRIGERANT Service and Repair
17. WARM UP ENGINE Service and Repair
18. INSPECT FOR REFRIGERANT LEAK Service and Repair
