AIR CONDITIONING: COMPRESSOR AND PULLEY (for 2GR-FE): REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM Service and Repair
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
3. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL RH
4. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER Removal
5. REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER RH Removal
6. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER REINFORCEMENT RH Removal
7. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER Removal
8. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
9. REMOVE RADIATOR RESERVOIR ASSEMBLY Removal
10. REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT Removal
11. DISCONNECT NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE HOSE





(a) Detach the clamp and disconnect the 2 connectors.





(b) Detach the clamp and disconnect the connector.





(c) Remove the bolt and disconnect the cooler refrigerant discharge hose from the cooler compressor.
(d) Remove the O-ring from the cooler refrigerant discharge hose.
NOTE: Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.





12. DISCONNECT NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT SUCTION HOSE
(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the cooler refrigerant suction hose from the cooler compressor.
(b) Remove the O-ring from the cooler refrigerant suction hose.
NOTE: Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.





13. REMOVE COOLER COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the 4 bolts and cooler compressor and bracket.
