2UZ-FE BATTERY / CHARGING: GENERATOR: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL GENERATOR ASSEMBLY





(a) Install the generator assembly with the bolt and 2 nuts.

- for bolt and nut (A)
Torque: 39 Nm (398 kgf-cm, 29 ft-lbf)

- for nut (B)
Torque: 16 Nm (163 kgf-cm, 12 ft-lbf)





(b) Connect the generator connector.
(c) Connect the generator wire with the nut.
Torque: 9.8 Nm (100 kgf-cm, 87 in-lbf)
(d) Install the terminal cap.
(e) Install the harness bracket to the generator assembly with the bolt.
Torque: 8.2 Nm (84 kgf-cm, 73 in-lbf)
2. INSTALL VANE PUMP ASSEMBLY Installation
3. INSTALL FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT Installation
4. INSTALL AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSEMBLY Installation
5. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation
6. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Replacement
7. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
