1GR-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: CAMSHAFT OIL CONTROL VALVE: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY (for Bank 1)

(a) Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new O-ring of the oil control valve.

(b) Install the oil control valve with the bolt.
Torque: 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)
NOTE: Be careful that the O-ring is not cracked when installing the oil control valve.

(c) Connect the oil control valve connector.
3. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY Installation
4. INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY WITH ELEMENT Installation
5. INSTALL NO. 2 AIR CLEANER HOSE Installation
6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTE: Some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

7. ADD ENGINE COOLANT Service and Repair
8. INSPECT FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAK Testing and Inspection
9. INSTALL V-BANK COVER Installation
10. INSTALL FRONT COWL TOP OUTER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation
11. INSTALL FRONT WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the front wiper motor and link assembly Installation.
12. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER Installation
