2UZ-FE LUBRICATION: ENGINE OIL COOLER: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL OIL COOLER ASSEMBLY
(a) Clean the oil cooler contact surface on the cooler mounting.





(b) Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new O-ring and install it to the oil cooler.
(c) Apply a light coat of engine oil on the threads and under the head of the union bolt.





(d) Install the oil cooler with the plate washer and union bolt.
Torque: 69 Nm (704 kgf-cm, 51 ft-lbf)
HINT: Fit the fork part of the oil cooler onto the rib of the oil cooler bracket.

(e) Connect the 2 oil cooler hoses to the oil cooler.

4. ADD ENGINE OIL Replacement
5. INSPECT FOR OIL LEAK Replacement
6. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK Testing and Inspection
7. CHECK ENGINE OIL LEVEL Testing and Inspection
8. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER Replacement
