INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. REPLACE USB DEVICE OR "iPod"
(a) Disconnect the USB device or "iPod" from the stereo jack adapter.
(b) Turn the ignition switch off.
HINT
When this malfunction occurs, it is necessary to turn off the ignition switch to make it possible for the vehicle to recognize a new device when it is connected.
(c) Turn the ignition switch to ACC.
(d) Connect a known good USB device or "iPod" to the stereo jack adapter.
OK:
USB device or "iPod" charges.
NG -- CHECK MULTI-MEDIA INTERFACE ECU
OK -- USB DEVICE OR "iPod" WAS DEFECTIVE
2. CHECK MULTI-MEDIA INTERFACE ECU
(a) Disconnect the G26 No. 2 stereo jack adapter assembly connector.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

OK -- REPLACE NO. 2 STEREO JACK ADAPTER ASSEMBLY
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-MEDIA INTERFACE ECU - STEREO JACK ADAPTER)
(a) Disconnect the G27 multi-media interface ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the G26 No. 2 stereo jack adapter assembly connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Problem Symptoms Table
