DESCRIPTION

This circuit provides power for theft warning ECU assembly operation.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK THEFT WARNING ECU ASSEMBLY

(a) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.





Standard Voltage:





NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (THEFT WARNING ECU ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND)

OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Theft Deterrent System

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (THEFT WARNING ECU ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the E110 theft warning ECU assembly connector.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BATTERY - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK)

(a) Disconnect the 2B instrument panel junction block connector.





(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR OR SHORT PIN OR ECU-B
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK (POWER SOURCE)

(a) Reconnect the 2B instrument panel junction block connector.

(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.





Standard Voltage:





NG -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK)
OK -- Continue to next step.

5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK - THEFT WARNING ECU ASSEMBLY)

(a) Disconnect the 2H instrument panel junction block and E110 theft warning ECU assembly connectors.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- REPLACE THEFT WARNING ECU ASSEMBLY Removal
