3MZ-FE FUEL: FUEL PUMP: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL FUEL SUCTION TUBE ASSEMBLY WITH PUMP AND GAUGE

(a) Install a new gasket to the fuel pump assembly.





(b) Install the fuel pump assembly.

(c) Install the fuel tank vent tube set plate by aligning it with the cutout on the fuel pump assembly.





(d) Install the fuel tank vent tube set plate and fuel pump connector plate with the 8 bolts.

Torque : 6.0 Nm (61 kgf-cm, 53 in-lbf)

(e) Connect the fuel pump tube with the tube joint clip and clamp.





NOTICE:
* Check that there are no scratches or foreign objects on the connecting part.
* Check that the fuel tube joint is inserted securely.
* Check that the tube joint clip is on the collar of the fuel tube joint.
* After installing the tube joint clip, check that the fuel tube joint is not pulled off.
(f) Connect the fuel tank wire connector (A).





(g) Connect the vapor pressure sensor connector and clamp (B).

4. CONNECT FUEL PUMP TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

5. CONNECT FUEL TANK VENT HOSE Installation

6. CONNECT FUEL TANK WIRE Installation

7. INSTALL NO. 3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY Installation

8. INSTALL NO. 1 FUEL TANK PROTECTOR SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

9. INSTALL NO. 3 FRONT FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR Installation

10. INSTALL CENTER EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

Installation

11. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

12. INSPECT FOR FUEL LEAK Testing and Inspection

13. INSPECT FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAK

14. INSTALL FRONT CENTER FLOOR COVER

15. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR COVER LH
