DESCRIPTION

The sliding roof control ECU (sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly) receives slide switch and tilt switch signals and drives its built-in motor.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
When the sliding roof control ECU (sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly) is reinstalled or replaced, the sliding roof control ECU (sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly) must be initialized Programming and Relearning.

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT FUSE (FR DOOR, SUNROOF)

(a) Remove the FR DOOR and SUNROOF fuses from the instrument panel junction block.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPLACE FUSE
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU - BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the O2 ECU connector.





(b) Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:





Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SLIDING ROOF SWITCH POWER SOURCE)

(a) Reconnect the O2 ECU connector.

(b) Disconnect the O4 switch connector.





(c) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:





NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SLIDING ROOF SWITCH ASSEMBLY - SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU)
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SLIDING ROOF SWITCH ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND)

(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.





Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

5. REPLACE SLIDING ROOF SWITCH ASSEMBLY (MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY)

(a) Replace the sliding roof switch assembly (map light assembly) Removal.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

6. CHECK SLIDING ROOF OPERATION

(a) Check the sliding roof operation Operation Check.

OK:

Sliding roof operation operates normally.

NG -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU (SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY) Removal

OK -- END (SLIDING ROOF SWITCH ASSEMBLY IS DEFECTIVE)

7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SLIDING ROOF SWITCH ASSEMBLY - SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU)

(a) Disconnect the O2 ECU connector.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF CONTROL ECU (SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY) Removal
