DESCRIPTION

When the key cancel function is ON, all entry functions stop operating. If the key cancel function is operated but all entry functions stop operating, one of the following is malfunctioning: 1) key cancel function, 2) certification ECU or 3) wire harness.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the Techstream ON.

(c) By following the Techstream screen display, check whether any DTCs are output.

OK:

No DTC output.

2. CHECK MANUAL DOOR LOCK AND UNLOCK OPERATION

(a) Check that all the doors lock when the door control switch (for manual operation) is turned to LOCK and all doors unlock when turned to UNLOCK.

OK:

All doors can be locked and unlocked with door control switch.

NG -- Go to POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM Operation Check
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK WIRELESS DOOR LOCK CONTROL OPERATION

(a) Check that the wireless door lock and unlock functions operate normally Operation Check.

OK:

Wireless door lock and unlock functions operate normally.

NG -- Go to WIRELESS DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM (w/ Smart Key System) Operation Check
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK DOOR CONTROL TRANSMITTER (OPERATION)

(a) Temporarily replace the door control transmitter with a new or normally functioning one.

(b) Check that the entry lock and unlock functions operate normally Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview.

OK:

Entry lock and unlock functions operate normally.

NG -- READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH)

OK -- END (DOOR CONTROL TRANSMITTER IS DEFECTIVE)

5. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH)

(a) Check the Data List to confirm the operations of each door courtesy light switch.
