Disassembly





SEAT: REAR NO. 1 SEAT ASSEMBLY: DISASSEMBLY

CAUTION:
Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

HINT
* Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
* The procedure listed below are for the RH side.
1. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER KNOB CAP RH

(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 claws and remove the reclining adjuster knob cap.





HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

2. REMOVE REAR SEAT RECLINING RELEASE LEVER

(a) Remove the 3 screws and rear seat reclining release lever.





3. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION HINGE COVER NO. 3





(a) Remove the screw.

(b) Detach the 2 claws and remove the rear seat cushion hinge cover.

4. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION HINGE COVER NO. 2





(a) Remove the screw.

(b) Detach the 2 claws and remove the rear seat cushion hinge cover.

5. REMOVE REAR SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY Removal

6. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Disconnect the connector and detach the 3 clamps.





HINT
If the vehicle is equipped with the seat heater system, disconnect the connector and detach the clamps.

(b) Cut the cable tie.





(c) Disconnect the cable from the seat cushion spring.

(d) Cut the cable tie to remove the cable from the seat cushion spring.





(e) Detach the cable clamp and remove the cable from the seat cushion spring.

(f) Detach the 2 clamps to remove the cable from the seat cushion spring.





(g) Remove the 2 bolts.





(h) Using a T45 "TORX" socket, remove the 2 "TORX" bolts and 2 bushes. Then remove the rear No. 1 seat cushion assembly.

7. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION SPRING ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Seat Heater System)

(a) Remove the 9 hog rings.





(b) Detach the hooks and remove the rear seat cushion spring assembly.





8. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION SPRING ASSEMBLY RH (w/o Seat Heater System)

(a) Remove the 9 hog rings.





(b) Detach the hooks and remove the rear seat cushion spring assembly.





9. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE REAR SEAT CUSHION COVER

(a) Remove the 8 hog rings and separate type rear seat cushion cover.





10. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System) Removal

11. REMOVE NO. 1 SEAT CUSHION COVER RH

(a) Detach the cable clamp and disconnect the cable from the No. 1 seat cushion cover.





(b) Remove the 2 screws.

(c) Detach the claw and remove the No. 1 seat cushion cover.

12. REMOVE SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Seat Heater System)

(a) Cut the cable tie.





(b) Detach the 5 harness clamps and remove the seat heater control sub-assembly.

(c) Disconnect the seat heater connector.

13. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY

14. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK LOCK STRIKER COVER

(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the claw and guide and remove the rear seatback lock striker cover.

HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.





15. REMOVE REAR SEAT LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Remove the 2 screws.





(b) Disconnect the cable and remove the rear seat lock control lever sub-assembly.

16. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT ARMREST CAP (w/ Armrest)

(a) Detach the 3 claws and remove the rear No. 1 seat armrest cap.





17. REMOVE SEAT ARMREST ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Armrest)

(a) Remove the bolt and seat armrest assembly.





18. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Detach the 7 clips and remove the rear seatback board sub-assembly.





19. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION HINGE COVER NO. 1

(a) Remove the screw.





(b) Detach the 4 claws and clip and remove the rear seat cushion hinge cover.

20. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION HINGE COVER RH

(a) Remove the 2 screws.





(b) Detach the 3 claws and remove the rear seat cushion hinge cover.

21. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION UNDER COVER RH

(a) Remove the 3 screws and rear seat cushion under cover.





22. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT

(a) Detach the 4 claws and remove the 2 rear seat headrest supports.





23. REMOVE NO. 1 SEATBACK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Remove the 2 hog rings.





(b) Remove the hooks and No. 1 seatback cover sub-assembly.

24. REMOVE SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD

(a) Remove the 2 hog rings.





(b) Detach the hooks and remove the seatback cover with pad.





25. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE REAR SEATBACK COVER

(a) Remove the 8 hog rings and separate type rear seatback cover from the seatback pad.





26. REMOVE SEATBACK HEATER ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System) Removal

27. REMOVE REAR SEAT RECLINING COVER NO. 1 LH

(a) Remove the screw.





(b) Detach the guide and remove the rear seat reclining cover.

28. REMOVE REAR SEAT RECLINING COVER INNER RH

(a) Pull the cable through the rear seatback frame sub-assembly.





(b) Remove the screw.





(c) Detach the 3 claws and remove the rear seat reclining cover.

29. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Disconnect the 2 clamps.





(b) Rotate the cable ends and remove the cables.

(c) Cut the cable tie.





(d) Disconnect the 2 cables from the rear seatback frame sub-assembly.

HINT
When removing the upper cable, operate the release pedal at the back of the seat to make it easier to disconnect the cable. However, be careful because the seatback will fall forward.

(e) Using a T40 "TORX" socket, remove the 5 "TORX" bolts and rear seatback frame sub-assembly.





30. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION HOLDER BRACKET RH

(a) Remove the bolt and rear seat cushion holder bracket.





31. REMOVE REAR BACK LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Remove the E-ring and washer.





(b) Using a T40 "TORX" socket, remove the "TORX" bolt.





(c) Remove the 3 nuts to remove the rear back lock control lever sub-assembly and rear seat cushion lock striker sub-assembly.

32. REMOVE REAR SEAT RECLINING COVER INNER LH

(a) Remove the screw.





(b) Detach the guide and remove the rear seat reclining cover.

33. REMOVE REAR SEAT RECLINING COVER INNER

(a) Remove the 2 screws and rear seat reclining cover.





34. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK COVER LH

(a) Remove the screw and rear seatback cover.





(b) Detach the cable clamp and disconnect the rear seatback lock control No. 2 cable sub-assembly.

35. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK COVER RH

(a) Remove the screw and rear seatback cover.





36. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK LOCK CONTROL NO. 2 CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the rear seatback lock control No. 2 cable sub-assembly.





HINT
* The front nut is locked with adhesive. Loosen the rear nut to remove the cable.
* If the front nut becomes loose, adjust the length when installing the cable.
(b) Rotate the cable end to remove it.

37. REMOVE REAR SEAT RECLINING CONTROL NO. 2 CABLE

(a) Cut the 3 cable ties and remove the rear seat reclining control No. 2 cable and rear seatback lock control No. 1 cable sub-assembly





38. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION SPRING NO. 1

(a) Remove the rear seat cushion spring.





39. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY INNER RH

(a) Disconnect the rear No. 1 seat lock cable assembly LH.





HINT
* The front nut is locked with adhesive. Loosen the rear nut to remove the cable.
* If the front nut becomes loose, adjust the length when installing the cable.
(b) Rotate the cable end to remove it.

(c) Remove the 2 nuts and rear seat cushion support bracket.





(d) Remove the nut and rear No. 1 seat adjuster assembly.

(e) Remove the washer.





40. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY OUTER RH

(a) Disconnect the rear No. 1 seat lock cable assembly RH.





HINT
* The front nut is locked with adhesive. Loosen the rear nut to remove the cable.
* If the front nut becomes loose, adjust the length when installing the cable.
(b) Rotate the cable end to remove it.

(c) Remove the 3 nuts and rear No. 1 seat adjuster assembly.





(d) Remove the washer.





41. REMOVE REAR SEAT TRACK ADJUSTING HANDLE RH

(a) Slide the slide rail to the rearmost position.





(b) Using a small screwdriver, push down the handle stopper to disengage the claw and remove the adjusting handle.

HINT
Insert the screwdriver in the hole shown in the illustration, while looking into the hole.
