EXTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: REAR BUMPER: REASSEMBLY

1. INSTALL REAR BUMPER BAR BRACKET LH

(a) Install the rear bumper bar bracket with the bolt.

Torque : 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf)

2. INSTALL REAR BUMPER BAR BRACKET RH

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

3. INSTALL REAR BUMPER ARM BRACKET LH

(a) Install the rear bumper arm bracket the bolt.

Torque : 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf)

4. INSTALL REAR BUMPER ARM BRACKET RH

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

5. INSTALL REAR FLOOR STAY BRACKET LH

(a) Install the rear floor stay with the 2 bolts.

Torque : 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf)

6. INSTALL REAR FLOOR STAY BRACKET RH

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

7. INSTALL REAR BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER

(a) Install the rear bumper energy absorber.

8. INSTALL REAR BUMPER END RETAINER LH

(a) Engage the 2 claws and rear bumper end retainer.

(b) Tighten the screw.

9. INSTALL REAR BUMPER END RETAINER RH

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

10. INSTALL REAR BUMPER UPPER RETAINER LH

(a) Engage the 4 claws and install the rear bumper upper retainer.

(b) Tighten the 3 screws.

11. INSTALL REAR BUMPER UPPER RETAINER RH

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

12. INSTALL NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER Installation

13. INSTALL NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR Installation

14. INSTALL NO. 2 ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER Installation

15. INSTALL NO. 2 ULTRASONIC SENSOR Installation

16. INSTALL NO. 2 FRAME WIRE (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System)

(a) Connect the 6 harness clamps and No. 2 frame wire.

(b) Connect the 4 connectors.

17. INSTALL GROMMET

(a) Install the 6 grommets.

18. INSTALL REAR BUMPER PAD LH

(a) Apply Primer G to the installation part of the rear bumper pad.

HINT
If primer is applied to an area that is not specified, wipe off the primer with a non-residue solvent before it dries.

(b) Install the new rear bumper pad onto the rear bumper cover, as shown in the illustration.

NOTICE:
* Allow the primer to dry for 3 minutes or more.
* Throw away any leftover primer.
* Do not apply too much primer.
19. INSTALL REAR BUMPER PAD RH

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

20. INSTALL REAR BUMPER LOWER COVER (w/o Towing Hitch)

(a) Apply Primer G to the installation part of the rear bumper lower cover.

HINT
If primer is applied to an area that is not specified, wipe off the primer with a non-residue solvent before it dries.

(b) Install the new rear bumper lower cover onto the rear bumper cover, as shown in the illustration.

NOTICE:
* Allow the primer to dry for 3 minutes or more.
* Throw away any leftover primer.
* Do not apply too much primer.
21. INSTALL REAR BUMPER LOWER COVER (w/ Towing Hitch)

(a) Install the reflex reflector with the nut.

23. INSTALL REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY RH

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
