POWER ASSIST SYSTEMS: POWER STEERING SYSTEM: PRECAUTION
1. HANDLING PRECAUTIONS FOR STEERING SYSTEM
(a) Care must be taken when replacing parts. Incorrect replacement could affect the performance of the steering system and result in driving hazards.
(b) Complete the adjustment of the steering wheel and wheel alignment, and then initialize the steering angle sensor. If the order is reversed, the steering wheel and wheel alignment will become misaligned.
2. HANDLING PRECAUTIONS FOR SRS AIRBAG SYSTEM
(a) This vehicle is equipped with an SRS (Supplemental Restraint System). Failure to carry out a service operation in the correct sequence could cause the SRS to unexpectedly deploy during servicing, possibly leading to a serious accident. Before servicing (including removal/installation, inspection and replacement of parts), be sure to read the precautionary notices for the supplemental restraint system Service Precautions.
