BRAKE CONTROL: VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM (for Hydraulic Brake Booster): DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART
NOTICE:
When removing any parts, turn the ignition switch off.
HINT
* If no abnormality is found when inspecting parts, check the skid control ECU and check for poor contact at ground points.
* If a trouble code is displayed during the DTC check, inspect the trouble areas listed for that code. For details of the code, refer to the applicable Diagnostic Trouble Code Test in the DTC chart.
* When 2 or more DTCs are detected, perform each circuit inspection until the problem is identified.
* All DTCs in the table below are detected in accordance with 1 trip detection logic.
C0200/31 - C0256/24:
C0278/11 - C1241/41:
C1242/42 - C1253/53:
C1254/54 - C1442/44 / U0073/94 - U0124/95:

Even after the trouble areas are repaired, the ABS warning light will not go off unless the following operations are performed.
* (*1):
* Drive the vehicle at 20 km/h (12 mph) for 30 seconds or more and check that the ABS warning light goes off.
* Clear the DTC.
* (*2):
* Keep the vehicle stationary for 5 seconds or more and depress the brake pedal several times.
* Repeat the above operation 3 times or more and check that the ABS warning light goes off.
* Clear the DTC.
(*3): 4WD
(*4): Skid control (VSC control) buzzer sounds.
HINT
In some cases, Techstream cannot be used when the ABS warning light and SLIP indicator remains on.
