DESCRIPTION
Pressing the VSC OFF switch turns off traction control and pressing and holding this switch turns off traction and VSC controls. If VSC control turns OFF, the VSC OFF indicator light will come on.

Refer to VSC OFF Indicator Light Remains ON VSC OFF Indicator Light Remains ON.
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
When replacing the brake actuator assembly, perform zero point calibration Vehicle Stability Control System (for Vacuum Brake Booster).
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - COMBINATION METER)
(a) Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the C9 combination meter connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
B -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
A -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU (CSW TERMINAL)
(a) Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- INSPECT VSC OFF SWITCH
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
(a) Reconnect the skid control ECU connector.
(b) Connect a Techstream to the DLC3.
(c) Perform Active Test of the combination meter using the Techstream Data List / Active Test.
OK:
The VSC OFF indicator light turns ON or OFF in accordance with the Techstream.
NG -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY Removal
OK -- REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY Removal
4. INSPECT VSC OFF SWITCH
(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPLACE VSC OFF SWITCH Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - VSC OFF SWITCH)
(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
