DESCRIPTION

If the sliding function and tilt function do not operate, there may be a malfunction in the sliding roof ECU power source circuit.

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (IGNITION SWITCH SIGNAL)

(a) Use the Data List to check if the ignition switch signal is functioning properly Scan Tool Testing and Procedures.

OK:

The Techstream displays as shown in the table according to the operation of each switch.

NG -- INSPECT FUSE (S/ROOF, ECU-IG No. 1)

OK -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY (SLIDING ROOF ECU) Disassembly

2. INSPECT FUSE (S/ROOF, ECU-IG No. 1)

(a) Remove the S/ROOF and ECU-IG No. 1 fuses from the main body ECU.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:

NG -- REPLACE FUSE
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SLIDING ROOF ECU - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the W3 ECU connector.

(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard voltage:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY (SLIDING ROOF ECU) Disassembly
