C1582 - Assist Map Number Mismatch
DESCRIPTION
When an incorrect ECM or an incorrect skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) is installed after the assist map has been recorded in the power steering ECU, then DTC C1582 is stored because the data does not match the vehicle specifications.
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
If the power steering ECU has been replaced with a new one, perform the rotation angle sensor initialization and torque sensor zero point calibration Programming and Relearning.
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK FOR DTC (CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM)
(a) Using the Techstream, check for DTCs and confirm that there are no problems in the CAN communication system Diagnosis System.
OK:
DTC is not output.
NG -- GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM How to Proceed With Troubleshooting
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK ECM
(a) Check if an ECM that complies with the vehicle specifications is installed.
OK:
The ECM that complies with vehicle specifications is installed.
Result
C -- REPLACE ECM Removal
B -- REPLACE ECM Removal
A -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK SKID CONTROL ECU
(a) Check if a skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) that complies with the vehicle specifications is installed.
OK:
The skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) that complies with vehicle specifications is installed.
NG -- REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY Removal
OK -- REPLACE POWER STEERING ECU Removal
