3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

4. REMOVE LOWER NO. 3 STEERING WHEEL COVER Removal

5. REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL COVER Removal

6. REMOVE STEERING PAD Removal

7. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY Removal

8. REMOVE CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

9. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

10. REMOVE METER HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

11. REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY Removal

12. DISCONNECT FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH Removal

13. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH Removal

14. DISCONNECT FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH

21. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY Removal

22. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL BOX DOOR SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

23. DISCONNECT INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE ASSEMBLY Removal

24. REMOVE UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

25. REMOVE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET Removal

26. REMOVE NAVIGATION ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Navigation Antenna) Removal

27. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING PANEL ASSEMBLY Removal

28. REMOVE FRONT UPPER CONSOLE BOX

(a) Disengage the 8 claws and remove the front upper console box.





29. REMOVE NO. 2 SWITCH HOLE BASE

(a) Disengage the 6 claws.





(b) Disconnect each connector and remove the No. 2 switch hole base.

30. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX CARPET

31. REMOVE FRONT CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY (for 2WD) Removal

32. REMOVE FRONT CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY (for 4WD) Removal

33. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX INSERT

(a) Disengage the 3 claws and guide to remove the front No. 1 console box insert.





34. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX INSERT

(a) Disengage the 3 claws and guide to remove the front No. 2 console box insert.





35. REMOVE LOWER CENTER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL (for Manual Transaxle)

(a) Remove the 2 clips.





(b) Disengage the 6 claws and remove the lower center instrument panel finish panel.

36. REMOVE LOWER CENTER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL (for Automatic Transaxle)

(a) Remove the screw and 2 clips.

(b) Disengage the 6 claws and remove the lower center instrument panel finish panel.

37. REMOVE NO. 1 SWITCH HOLE BASE

(a) Disengage the 4 claws and remove the No. 1 switch hole base.

38. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 2 screws .

(b) Disengage the 3 claws and 2 guides.

(c) Disconnect the connector and remove the lower instrument panel finish panel sub-assembly.

39. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH Removal

40. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH Removal

41. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Instrument Panel Under Cover)

(a) Disengage the 3 claws and guide to remove the No. 2 instrument panel under cover.

42. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

46. REMOVE LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER Removal

47. REMOVE UPPER STEERING COLUMN COVER Removal

48. REMOVE TURN SIGNAL SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

49. REMOVE RADIO WIRE SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

50. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Disengage the 2 claws and DLC3.

(b) Disengage the 3 claws and the hood lock control cable assembly.

(c) Disengage each clamp.

(d) Remove the 3 screws .

(e) Remove the screw .

(f) Remove the 11 bolts .

(g) Remove the 2 bolts .

(h) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the lower instrument panel sub-assembly.
