3. CHECK HV BATTERY ASSEMBLY (INLET AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR AND BATTERY TEMPERATURE SENSOR)

CAUTION:
Be sure to wear insulated gloves.

(a) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

(b) Check that the service plug grip is not installed.

NOTICE:
After removing the service plug grip, do not turn the power switch on (READY), unless instructed by the repair manual because this may cause a malfunction.

(c) Remove the No. 1 hybrid vehicle battery carrier bracket sub-assembly Removal.

(d) Disconnect connectors c1 and z17 from the battery smart unit.





(e) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

(f) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

(g) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

(h) Connect the battery smart unit connectors.

(i) Install the No. 1 hybrid vehicle battery carrier bracket sub-assembly Installation.

(j) Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.

NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INLET AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR AND BATTERY TEMPERATURE SENSOR)
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK BATTERY SMART UNIT (VIB VOLTAGE) P09AD

NG -- CHECK HYBRID BATTERY JUNCTION BLOCK

OK -- REPLACE BATTERY SMART UNIT Components

5. CHECK HYBRID BATTERY JUNCTION BLOCK P09AD

NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BATTERY SMART UNIT - HYBRID BATTERY JUNCTION BLOCK)

OK -- REPLACE HYBRID BATTERY JUNCTION BLOCK Components

6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BATTERY SMART UNIT - HYBRID BATTERY JUNCTION BLOCK) P09AD

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- REPLACE BATTERY SMART UNIT Components

7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INLET AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR AND BATTERY TEMPERATURE SENSOR) P0A85

NG -- REPAIR HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
