Operation CHARM: Car repair manuals for everyone.

Repair Procedure Part 1

1. Test drive the vehicle while at operating temperature and listen for a whine noise from the Drivetrain.

Is there a whine type noise coming from the transaxle area between 32 - 105 km/h (20 - 65 MPH)?

^ YES - Proceed to step 2.

^ NO - This TSB does NOT apply. Refer to the Repair Manual for additional diagnosis.

2. Confirm the fluid level is at the correct level. If adjustment was necessary, test drive again to see if the noise has improved. If no improvement, determine if the VIN is before or after the production change.

^ BEFORE - Perform Repair Procedure A

^ AFTER - Perform Repair Procedure B
