2GR-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: THROTTLE BODY: REMOVAL

1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT Service and Repair

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

3. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

5. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY

(a) Disconnect the 2 water by-pass hoses from the throttle body.





(b) Disconnect the control motor connector.





(c) Remove the 4 bolts and throttle body and wire harness clamp stay.

(d) Remove the gasket from the intake air surge tank.
