INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK CONNECTION OF CONNECTOR

(a) Turn the ignition switch off.

(b) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal, and wait for at least 90 seconds.

(c) Check that the connectors are properly connected to the center airbag sensor, rear airbag sensor RH and the side airbag sensor RH.

OK:

The connectors are properly connected.

NG -- CONNECT CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK FLOOR WIRE NO. 2 (OPEN)

(a) Disconnect the connectors from the center airbag sensor and the side airbag sensor RH.

(b) Using a service wire, connect L10-4*1, L27-4*2 (BBR+) and L10-3*1, L27-3*2 (BBR-) of connector C.

NOTICE:
Do not forcibly insert the service wire into the terminals of the connector when connecting.

*1: for TMMC Made

*2: for TMC Made

(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

Standard resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE FLOOR WIRE NO. 2
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK FLOOR WIRE NO. 2 (SHORT)

(a) Disconnect the service wire from connector C.

(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

Standard resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE FLOOR WIRE NO. 2
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK FLOOR WIRE NO. 2 (TO B+)

(a) Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.

(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(c) Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.

Standard voltage:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE FLOOR WIRE NO. 2
OK -- Continue to next step.

5. CHECK FLOOR WIRE NO. 2 (TO GROUND)

(a) Turn the ignition switch off.

(b) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal, and wait for at least 90 seconds.

(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

Standard resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE FLOOR WIRE NO. 2
OK -- Continue to next step.

6. CHECK SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR RH

(a) Connect the connectors to the center airbag sensor.

(b) Interchange the side airbag sensor RH with the side airbag sensor LH and connect the connectors to them.

(c) Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.

(d) Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.

(e) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(f) Turn the ignition switch off.

(g) Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.

(h) Check for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
