DESCRIPTION
The fold seat control ECU receives signals from the rear door courtesy switch and detects the state of the rear door (open/close). If the ECU does not detect that the rear door is open, the seat folding and return functions are not available.

PROCEDURE
1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (REAR DOOR COURTESY SWITCH)
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(c) Turn the Techstream ON.
(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.
(e) According to the display on the Techstream, read the Data List.

OK:
When rear door courtesy light switch operation is performed, the results are the same as above.
NG -- GO TO REAR DOOR COURTESY SWITCH CIRCUIT Door Courtesy Switch Circuit
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH - FOLD SEAT CONTROL ECU)
(a) Disconnect the O7 or P7 switch connector.
(b) Disconnect the O34 or P20 ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
