DESCRIPTION

The multi-media interface ECU sends sound signals to the television display assembly through this circuit. If there is an open or short in the circuit, sound cannot be heard from the speakers even if there is no malfunction in the radio receiver assembly, stereo component amplifier assembly or speakers.

1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-MEDIA INTERFACE ECU - TELEVISION DISPLAY)

(a) Disconnect the H111 multi-media interface ECU connector.





(b) Disconnect the U2 television display assembly connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Problem Symptoms Table
