DESCRIPTION
The fold seat control ECU receives signals from the back door courtesy switch and detects the state of the back door (open/close). If the ECU does not detect that the back door is open, the seat folding and return functions are not available.

PROCEDURE
1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (BACK DOOR COURTESY SWITCH)
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(c) Turn the Techstream ON.
(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Back Door P/W / Data List.
(e) According to the display on the Techstream, read the Data List.
Back Door P/W
OK:
When back door courtesy switch operation is performed, the results are the same as above.
NG -- GO TO BACK DOOR COURTESY SWITCH CIRCUIT Luggage Room Light Circuit
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BACK DOOR ECU - FOLD SEAT CONTROL ECU)
(a) Disconnect the V2 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the O34 or P20 ECU connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
LH Side
RH Side
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. REPLACE BACK DOOR ECU
(a) Temporarily replace the back door ECU with a new or normally functioning one Disassembly.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK POWER SEAT CONTROL SYSTEM (OPERATION)
(a) Check the power folding function Operation Check.
OK:
Operate normally.
NG -- REPLACE FOLD SEAT CONTROL ECU Removal
OK -- END (BACK DOOR ECU DEFECTIVE)
