DESCRIPTION
The fold seat control ECU receives signals from the Park/Neutral position switch and controls the seat folding and return operations. The shift lever is in any position other than P when the ignition switch is ON, the seat cannot be operated.

PROCEDURE
1. CHECK FOLD SEAT CONTROL ECU (PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH SIGNAL)
(a) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage:
LH Side
RH Side
NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH - IGNITION SWITCH)
OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH - IGNITION SWITCH)
(a) Disconnect the D21 switch connector.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. INSPECT PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH
(a) Disconnect the D21 switch connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
Result
E -- REPLACE PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH Removal
D -- REPLACE PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH
C -- REPLACE PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH
B -- REPLACE PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH
A -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (FOLD SEAT CONTROL ECU - PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH)
