SEAT: REAR POWER SEAT CONTROL SYSTEM: OPERATION CHECK

1. CHECK REAR POWER SEAT FUNCTION





(a) Check the basic operation.

(1) Operate the rear power seat switch and fold seat switch and check that each seat function works.

* Reclining

* Folding/Return

2. CHECK RECLINING OPERATION

(a) Operation conditions





* The seatback is within the reclining operation range.

* The headrest has not fallen.

(b) Press the rear power seat switch and confirm that the seatback moves forward and backward.

HINT
The operation will stop when the rear power seat switch is released or when the seatback position reaches either end of the reclining operation range.

3. CHECK FOLDING OPERATION

(a) Operation conditions

* Initialization has been completed.

* The ignition switch is off or the shift lever is in P.

* The back door is open.*1

* The rear LH door is open.*2

* The rear RH door is open.*3

HINT
* *1: When the fold seat switch (back door side) is operated.
* *2: When the fold seat switch (rear LH door side) is operated.
* *3: When the fold seat switch (rear RH door side) is operated.

(b) Confirm that the buzzer sounds twice when the fold seat switch is held in the fold position, that the seat is stored, and that the buzzer sounds twice when stowage operation is complete.

(c) Confirm that if the switch is released or if another switch is pressed while the stowage operation is in progress, the seat movement is stopped, the operation indicator light illuminates, and the warning buzzer sounds for 10 seconds.

When normal operation is resumed, the operation indicator will turn off.

(d) If the system detects that an object is jammed in the seat while the stowage operation is in progress, the seat movement is stopped, the operation indicator light blinks, and the warning buzzer sounds for 10 seconds.

4. CHECK RETURN OPERATION

(a) Operation conditions

* Initialization has been completed.

* The ignition switch is off or the shift lever is in P.

* The back door is open.*1

* The rear LH door is open.*2

* The rear RH door is open.*3

* *1: When the fold seat switch (back door side) is operated.
* *2: When the fold seat switch (rear LH door side) is operated.
* *3: When the fold seat switch (rear RH door side) is operated.

(b) Confirm that the buzzer sounds twice when the fold seat switch is held in the return position, that the seat returns, and that the buzzer sounds twice when return operation is complete.

(c) Confirm that if the switch is released or if another switch is pressed while the return operation is in progress, the seat movement is stopped, the operation indicator light illuminates, and the warning buzzer sounds for 10 seconds.

(d) If the system detects that an object is jammed in the seat while the return operation is in progress, the seat movement is stopped, the operation indicator light blinks, and the warning buzzer sounds for 10 seconds.
