1NZ-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: CAMSHAFT OIL CONTROL VALVE: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE ASSEMBLY





(a) Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new O-ring and install it onto the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly.

NOTICE:
Do not twist the O-ring.

(b) Install the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly with the bolt.





Torque : 7.5 Nm (76 kgf-cm, 66 in-lbf)

(c) Connect the camshaft timing oil control valve assembly connector.





2. INSTALL FAN BELT ADJUSTING BAR





(a) Provisionally install the fan belt adjusting bar with the bolt and nut.

(b) Tighten the nut to the specified torque.

Torque : 11 Nm (112 kgf-cm, 8.1 ft-lbf)

3. INSTALL FAN & GENERATOR V BELT Installation

4. ADJUST FAN & GENERATOR V BELT Installation

5. INSPECT FAN & GENERATOR V BELT Installation

6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

Torque : 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf)

7. CHECK FOR ENGINE OIL LEAKAGE

8. INSTALL CYLINDER HEAD COVER NO. 2 Installation

9. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER RH
