Operation Check





LIGHTING (EXT): LIGHTING SYSTEM: OPERATION CHECK

1. AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK

(a) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(b) Turn the light control switch to the AUTO position.

(c) Cover the automatic light control sensor.

(d) Check that the taillights and low beam headlights come on.

(e) Uncover the automatic light control sensor.

(f) Check that the low beam headlights and taillights go off.

2. LIGHT AUTO TURN-OFF SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK (w/ Side Turn Signal Light)

(a) Close the driver door.

(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(c) Turn the light control switch to the tail, head or AUTO position.

(d) Turn the ignition switch off.

(e) Open the driver door.

(f) Check that all of the lights go off immediately.

3. LIGHT AUTO TURN-OFF SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK (w/o Side Turn Signal Light)

(a) Close the driver door.

(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(c) Turn the light control switch to the AUTO position (check that the low beam headlights, high beam headlights or front fog lights are on).

(d) Turn the ignition switch off.

(e) Open the driver door.

(f) Close the driver door.

(g) Check that all of the lights go off after 30 seconds (delay function).

HINT
Before the lights go off, if the lock button on the key is pushed after all of the doors are locked, all of the lights will go off immediately.

4. DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK

(a) Headlight dimmer switch with DRL OFF function:

(1) Start the engine.

(2) Turn the light control switch to the tail or AUTO position (check that the low beam headlights are not turned on via the automatic light control system).

(3) Release the parking brake.

(4) Check that the daytime running lights (low-intensity high beam headlights) come on.

(b) Headlight dimmer switch without DRL OFF function:

(1) Start the engine.

(2) Turn the light control switch to the off, tail or AUTO position (check that the low beam headlights are not turned on via the automatic light control system).

(3) Release the parking brake.

(4) Check that the daytime running lights (low-intensity high beam headlights) come on.
