DESCRIPTION

The inner rear view mirror assembly receives the back door open/close signal from the back door courtesy switch.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (LUGGAGE COURTESY SW)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Body / Data List /

(e) According to the display on tester, read the "Data List".

Body





OK:

Condition sign can be displayed.

NG -- GO TO LIGHTING SYSTEM (DOOR COURTESY SWITCH CIRCUIT) Door Courtesy Switch Circuit
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BACK DOOR COURTESY SWITCH - INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR)

(a) Disconnect the R6 inner rear view mirror connector.





(b) Measure the resistance according value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





(c) Reconnect the R6 inner rear view mirror connector.

HINT
The circuit has diodes, so reverse the two leads and check again.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
