DESCRIPTION

The fuel injectors are located on the intake manifold. They inject fuel into the cylinders based on the signals from the ECM.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK TERMINAL VOLTAGE (POWER SOURCE OF FUEL INJECTOR)

(a) Disconnect the fuel injector assembly connector.





(b) Turn the ignition switch on (IG).

(c) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard voltage:

(d) Turn the ignition switch off.

(e) Reconnect the fuel injector assembly connector.

NG -- INSPECT FUSE (INJ NO. 2 FUSE)
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. INSPECT FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Inspect the injector assembly Testing and Inspection.

NG -- REPLACE FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY Components
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY - ECM)

(a) Disconnect the ECM connector.

(b) Turn the ignition switch on (IG).

(c) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard voltage:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY - ECM)

OK -- REPLACE ECM Components

4. INSPECT FUSE (INJ NO. 2 FUSE)

(a) Remove the INJ No. 2 fuse from engine room relay block.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:

(c) Reinstall the INJ No. 2 fuse.

NG -- REPLACE FUSE

OK -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (IG2 RELAY - FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY)
