INTERIOR: ROOF HEADLINING: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the deck board.

2. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the clip.

(b) Disengage the 2 guides and remove the battery service hole cover.

3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

4. REMOVE REAR CENTER SEAT ASSEMBLY (for LH Side)

5. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY (for LH Side) Removal

6. REMOVE REAR SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER LH (for LH Side) Removal

7. REMOVE REAR OUTER TRACK BRACKET COVER LH (for LH Side) Removal

8. REMOVE REAR INNER TRACK BRACKET COVER LH (for LH Side) Removal

9. REMOVE RECLINING HINGE COVER LH (for LH Side) Removal

10. REMOVE REAR SEAT LEG SIDE COVER LH (for LH Side) Removal

11. SEPARATE REAR NO. 1 SEAT LOCK CABLE ASSEMBLY LH (for LH Side) Removal

12. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT ASSEMBLY LH (for LH Side) Removal

13. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY (for RH Side) Removal

14. REMOVE REAR SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER RH (for RH Side) Removal

15. REMOVE REAR OUTER TRACK BRACKET COVER RH (for RH Side) Removal

16. REMOVE REAR INNER TRACK BRACKET COVER RH (for RH Side) Removal

17. REMOVE REAR SEAT LEG SIDE COVER RH (for RH Side) Removal

18. DISCONNECT REAR NO. 1 SEAT LOCK CABLE ASSEMBLY RH (for RH Side) Removal

19. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT ASSEMBLY RH (for RH Side) Removal

20. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

(a) Disengage the 8 claws and guide, and remove the front door scuff plate LH.





21. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Remove the clip.





(b) Disengage the clip and claw, and remove the cowl side trim sub-assembly LH.

22. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

(a) Remove the front door opening trim weatherstrip LH.





23. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH





(a) Pull the upper part of the garnish toward the inside of the cabin and disengage the garnish from the base of the 2 clips.

HINT
Allow the front pillar garnish LH to hang from the front pillar garnish clip.





(b) Turn the end of the front pillar garnish clip 90° with needle-nose pliers and remove it from the front pillar garnish LH.

NOTICE:
* Front pillar garnish clips are reusable if they are not removed from the vehicle and have no damage.
* Replace the front pillar garnish clips with new ones if they are removed from the vehicle.

HINT
Tape the tips of needle-nose pliers before use.

(c) Disengage the 3 guides at the front end of the front pillar garnish LH and remove it.

(d) Protect the curtain shield airbag assembly.





(1) Cover the airbag with a 700 mm (27.56 in.) x 120 mm (4.72 in.) cloth or piece of nylon and fix the ends of the cover with tape, as shown in the illustration.

NOTICE:
Cover the curtain shield airbag with a protective cover as soon as the front pillar garnish is removed.

24. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

(a) Disengage the 5 claws, 3 clips and guide, and remove the rear door scuff plate LH.





25. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

(a) Remove the rear door opening trim weatherstrip LH.





26. REMOVE LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH

(a) Disengage the 2 claws and 2 clips, and remove the lower center pillar garnish LH.





27. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH Removal

28. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH

(a) Remove the screw and clip.





(b) Disengage the 2 guides and clip, and remove the center pillar garnish LH.

29. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side.

30. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side.

31. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH

HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side.

32. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH





(a) Pull the upper part of the garnish toward the inside of the cabin and disengage the garnish from the base of the 2 clips.

HINT
Allow the front pillar garnish RH to hang from the front pillar garnish clip.

(c) Disengage the 3 guides at the front end of the front pillar garnish RH and remove it.

36. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH

Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side.

37. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH RH

HINT

38. REMOVE NO. 2 DECK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) Disengage the 2 clips and 2 guides and remove the No. 2 deck board.

39. REMOVE NO. 2 DECK BOARD





(a) Disengage the 3 claws and remove the No. 2 deck board.

40. REMOVE NO. 1 DECK BOARD





(a) Disengage the 3 claws and remove the No. 1 deck board.
