B1000/31 - Center Airbag Sensor Assembly Malfunction
DESCRIPTION
The airbag ECU assembly consists of the deceleration sensor, safing sensor, drive circuit, diagnosis circuit, ignition control, etc.
If the airbag ECU assembly receives signals from the deceleration sensor, it determines whether or not the airbag squib and pretensioner squib should be activated.
DTC B1000/31 is stored when a malfunction is detected in the airbag ECU assembly.

1. CHECK DTC
(a) Check for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
Result
NOTICE:
If only DTC B1000/31 is output, do not clear the DTC, replace the airbag ECU assembly.
HINT
If any DTCs other than DTC B1000/31 are also output, troubleshoot those DTCs first.
