DESCRIPTION

When the combination switch assembly (ECO switch) is turned on, the air conditioning amplifier assembly receives an ECO switch ON signal and controls the air conditioning to enhance fuel efficiency.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Air Conditioner / Data Test.

(e) Check the values by referring to the table below.

OK:

ECO switch condition displayed on the Techstream changes with the actual switch operation.

NG -- INSPECT COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY (ECO SWITCH)

OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures

2. INSPECT COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY (ECO SWITCH)

(a) Remove the combination switch assembly (ECO switch) Removal.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.





Standard Resistance:

NG -- REPLACE COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION SWITCH - AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER)

(a) Disconnect the L128 combination switch assembly (ECO switch) connector.

(b) Disconnect the L17 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY Removal
