DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network ECU) controls the footwell lights.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
* Inspect fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.
* Check that the light intensity of the light control rheostat is set to maximum.

PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Active Test.

(e) Check that the footwell lights come on.

Main Body





OK:

Footwell lights come on.

NG -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AUXILIARY BATTERY - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY)

OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Interior Lighting System

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AUXILIARY BATTERY - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY)

(a) for Front LH

(1) Disconnect the No. 1 interior illumination light assembly LH (footwell light) connector.

(2) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:





(b) for Front RH

(1) Disconnect the No. 1 interior illumination light assembly RH (footwell light) connector.

(2) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FOOTWELL LIGHT - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY)

(a) for Front LH

(1) Disconnect the 2B instrument panel junction block assembly connector.

(2) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





(b) for Front RH

(1) Disconnect the 2B instrument panel junction block assembly connector.

(2) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly Removal.

(b) Remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) from the instrument panel junction block assembly Removal.





(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:
