NETWORKING: CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM: FAIL-SAFE CHART
1. FAIL-SAFE FUNCTION
(a) When communication fails in any of the CAN bus lines (communication lines), a fail-safe function(s) will operate. The fail-safe function that is specified for each system operates to prevent those systems from malfunctioning.
(b) The following table shows the effects on each system when communication is impossible. (For further details, see the pages for each system.)

* Reverse warning buzzer (Single): Controlled based on the latest signal state until the power switch is turned off.
* Reverse warning buzzer (Intermittent): Stops.
* Seat belt warning buzzer: Stops.
* Light reminder buzzer: Stops.
* Smart key warning buzzer (Continual): Stops.
* Smart key warning buzzer (Intermittent): Stops.
* Smart key warning buzzer (Single): Stops.
* Driving with any door opened warning buzzer: Does not sound.
* Immobiliser key identification completion buzzer: Controlled based on the latest signal state.
* Driving with parking brake unreleased warning buzzer: Controlled based on the latest signal state.
* Dynamic radar cruise control low speed cancel (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System): Controlled by maintaining the latest condition until the power switch is turned off.
* Shift operation reject buzzer: Controlled by maintaining the latest condition until the power switch is turned off.
* Shift selection P request buzzer: Does not sound.
* HV battery low voltage warning buzzer: Stops.
* HV battery charge request buzzer: Stops.
* EV reject buzzer: Controlled based on the latest signal state until the power switch is turned off.
* Ready buzzer: Controlled based on the latest signal state until the power switch is turned off.
* EPS warning buzzer: Sounds.
* Brake system buzzer: Does not sound.
* Dynamic radar cruise control warning buzzer (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System): Controlled based on the latest signal state.
* HV system warning buzzer: Controlled by maintaining the latest condition until the power switch is turned off.

* SRS warning: Turns on.
* ABS warning: Turns on.
* High beam indicator: Maintains the display state while the power switch is on (IG), and turns off while the power switch is off.
* Brake warning: Always turned on or maintains the latest signal state while the power switch is on (IG), and turns off while the power switch is off.
* Seat belt warning: Maintains the display state while the power switch is on (IG), and turns off while the power switch is off or maintains the latest signal state.
* Open door warning: Maintains the display state while the power switch is on (IG), and turns off while the power switch is off.
* Electrically controlled brake warning (Brake warning (Yellow)): Maintains the latest signal state until the power switch is turned off.
* Water temperature warning: Turns on when the input via the direct line satisfies the illumination conditions and turns off when the input via the direct line satisfies the conditions to turn it off.
* EPS warning: Turns on.
* Front fog indicator: Maintains the display state while the power switch is on (IG), and turns off while the power switch is off.
* Head indicator: Maintains the display state while the power switch is on (IG), and turns off while the power switch is off.
* Rear fog indicator: Maintains the display state while the power switch is on (IG), and turns off while the power switch is off.
* PCS warning: Does not sound until the power switch is turned off.
* Slip indicator: Turns on.
* Tail indicator: Maintains the display state while the power switch is on (IG), and turns off while the power switch is off.
* Cruise control indicator (for Cruise Control System): Maintains the latest signal state until the power switch is turned off.
* Cruise control (Constant speed control mode) indicator (Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System): Maintains the latest signal state until the power switch is turned off.
* Cruise control (Vehicle-to-vehicle distance control mode) indicator (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System): Maintains the latest signal state until the power switch is turned off.
* Cruise control SET indicator (for Cruise Control System): Maintains the latest signal state until the power switch is turned off.
* Cruise control SET indicator (Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System): Maintains the latest signal state until the power switch is turned off.
* Power mode indicator: Maintains the display state while the power switch is turned off.
* Charge warning: Maintains the latest signal state until the power switch is turned off.
* Eco mode indicator: Maintains the latest signal state until the power switch is turned off.
* EV mode indicator: Maintains the latest signal state until the power switch is turned off.
* Ready indicator: Maintains the latest signal state until the power switch is turned off or does not turn on.
* Oil pressure warning: Does not sound.
* Smart key warning: Maintains the display state while the power switch is on (IG) and does not turn on while the power switch is off.
* Charge warning: Does not display until the power switch is turned off.
* Hybrid system warning: Maintains the latest signal state until the power switch is turned off.
* Hybrid system overheat warning: Maintains the latest signal state until the power switch is turned off.
* P position request indicator: Maintains the latest signal state until the power switch is turned off.
* Hybrid battery monitor: Maintains the latest signal state until the power switch is turned off.
* Parking lock system warning message: Turned off.
* LED head light indicator: Maintains the latest signal state until the power switch is turned off.
* Turn indicator: Does not sound.
