B1273 - Sliding Roof ECU Communication Stop

DESCRIPTION

DTC B1273 is output when the communication between the sliding roof drive gear and main body ECU stops for more than 10 seconds.

NOTICE:
When using the Techstream to troubleshoot the LIN communication line: Connect the Techstream to the vehicle, and turn a courtesy light switch on and off at 1.5 second intervals until communication between the Techstream and vehicle begins.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(c) Clear the DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(d) Check for DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.





B -- SYSTEM IS OK
A -- Continue to next step.

2. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (COMMUNICATION SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(c) Read the DATA LIST according to the display on the tester.

NG -- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (MAIN BODY ECU - SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR)

OK -- REPLACE INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK

3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (MAIN BODY ECU - SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR)

(a) Disconnect the P6 and E15 ECU connectors.





(b) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(b) Clear the DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(c) Recheck for DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

OK:

DTC B1273 is not output.

NG -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY

OK -- REPLACE INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK
