Removal

AIR CONDITIONING: COMPRESSOR (for 2AR-FE): REMOVAL

1. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM Service and Repair

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

3. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL RH

4. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER Removal

5. REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER RH Removal

6. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER REINFORCEMENT RH Removal

7. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER Removal

8. REMOVE RADIATOR RESERVOIR ASSEMBLY Removal

9. REMOVE FAN & GENERATOR V BELT Removal

10. REMOVE NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE HOSE





(a) Disconnect the 2 connectors and detach the 2 clamps.

(b) Remove the bolt and remove the cooler refrigerant discharge hose from the cooler compressor.





(c) Remove the O-ring from the cooler refrigerant discharge hose.

NOTICE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.

11. REMOVE NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT SUCTION HOSE

(a) Remove the bolt and remove the cooler refrigerant suction hose from the cooler compressor.





(b) Remove the O-ring from the cooler refrigerant suction hose.

NOTICE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.

12. REMOVE COOLER COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.

(b) Remove the 2 stud bolts and cooler compressor.
