Refrigerant Pressure Sensor / Switch: Testing and Inspection

AIR CONDITIONING: AIR CONDITIONING PRESSURE SENSOR: ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

1. CHECK PRESSURE SENSOR

(a) Check the wire harness.





(1) Disconnect the connector of the pressure sensor.

(2) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

Standard resistance:





(3) Turn the ignition switch ON.

(4) Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.

Standard voltage:





* If the result is not as specified, replace the pressure sensor.

(b) Check the pressure sensor.





(1) Set the manifold gauge.

(2) Connect the connector to the pressure sensor.

(3) Warm up the engine.

(4) Switch the A/C ON.

(5) Measure the voltage.

Standard voltage:





* If the result is not as specified, replace the pressure sensor.
