2AR-FE STARTING: IGNITION SWITCH: REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION

NOTICE:
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Service Precautions.

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

3. REMOVE LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER

(a) Detach the 4 claws, release the tilt lever and remove the lower steering column cover.





4. REMOVE IGNITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the ignition switch connector.





(b) Detach the claw and disconnect the key interlock solenoid wire harness connector from the ignition switch connector.

(c) Remove the 2 screws and ignition switch.
