DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU is connected to the combination meter via the CAN communication system.

The VSC OFF indicator light illuminates to inform the driver when VSC OFF mode is entered using the VSC OFF switch.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
When replacing the brake actuator assembly, perform the zero point calibration Programming and Relearning.

PROCEDURE

1. PREPARE FOR INSPECTION

(a) Check that both of the following conditions are satisfied.

* The vehicle is not in VSC OFF mode.

* The vehicle is not in inspection mode.

HINT
Confirm if the vehicle is in inspection mode or not by using the Techstream Data List.

2. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

(a) Check if a CAN communication system DTC is output How to Proceed With Troubleshooting.

NG -- REPAIR CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM CAN Communication System
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. INSPECT SKID CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR

(a) Check if the skid control ECU connector is securely connected.

OK:

The connector is securely connected.

NG -- CONNECT CONNECTOR CORRECTLY
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY

(a) Inspect the combination meter How To Proceed With Troubleshooting.

NG -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY Removal

OK -- REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY Removal
