C1AE8 - Rear Right Center Sensor Malfunction
DESCRIPTION
The No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (rear right center sensor) is installed on the rear bumper. The ECU detects obstacles based on signals received from the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (rear right center sensor). If the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (rear right center sensor) has an open circuit or other malfunction, it will not function normally.
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
If the DTC is output after repairs, turn the ignition switch to ON and move the shift lever to R. Then clear the DTC.
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT
(a) Clear the DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.
(b) Check for DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.

2. REPLACE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (REAR RIGHT CENTER SENSOR)
(a) Replace the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (rear right center sensor) with a normally functioning sensor Removal.

3. CHECK DTC OUTPUT
(a) Clear the DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.
(b) Check for DTCs Intuitive Parking Assist System.
