Reassembly

DOOR / HATCH: SLIDE DOOR: REASSEMBLY

1. INSTALL SLIDE DOOR LOWER ROLLER ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the slide door lower roller with the 3 bolts.

Torque : 31 Nm (316 kgf-cm, 23 ft-lbf)

2. INSTALL SLIDE DOOR UPPER ROLLER ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the slide door lower roller with the 2 bolts.

Torque : 13 Nm (127 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf)

3. INSTALL SLIDE DOOR CENTER HINGE ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the slide door center hinge as shown in the illustration.

(b) Move the slide door center hinge to the rear of the slide rail.

4. INSTALL SLIDE DOOR

(a) Turn the roller of the slide door lower roller as shown in the illustration and slide it in through the cutout of the slide door lower rail to install the slide door.

NOTICE:
* To prevent damage, when installing the slide door, make sure that there are enough people available to hold it securely.
* Hold the slide door until the slide door center hinge is installed because the slide door will be unstable until the hinge is installed.

(b) Install the slide door upper roller as shown in the illustration.

(d) Using a brush, apply anti-rust coating to the slide door center hinge as shown in the illustration.

5. INSTALL SLIDE DOOR LOWER OPEN STOP

(a) Install the slide door lower open stop with the 2 nuts.

Torque : 7.5 Nm (76 kgf-cm, 66 in-lbf)

6. INSTALL SLIDE DOOR UPPER OPEN STOP

(a) Install the slide door upper open stop with the bolt.

Torque : 9.8 Nm (100 kgf-cm, 87 in-lbf)

7. INSTALL SLIDE DOOR LOWER CUSHION

(a) Install the slide door lower cushion.

8. INSTALL SLIDE DOOR UPPER CUSHION

(a) Install the slide door upper cushion.

9. INSTALL REAR DOOR STIFFENER CUSHION

(a) Install a new rear door stiffener cushion with the 2 bolts and apply thorough pressure to the sections with double-sided tape.

Torque : 6.2 Nm (63 kgf-cm, 55 in-lbf)

10. INSTALL POWER SLIDE DOOR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Power Slide Door) Installation

11. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR UPPER END WEATHERSTRIP (w/o Power Slide Door)

(a) Engage the 2 clips and install the center pillar upper end weatherstrip.

12. INSTALL REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Apply MP grease to the sliding parts on the rear door outside handle frame.

(b) Engage the claw to install the rear door outside handle frame.

(c) Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, install the rear door outside handle frame with the screw.

Torque : 4.0 Nm (41 kgf-cm, 35 in-lbf)

13. INSTALL REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE REAR PAD

(a) Engage the 3 claws to install the rear door outside handle rear pad.

14. INSTALL REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE FRONT PAD

(a) Engage the 2 claws to install the rear door outside handle front pad.

15. INSTALL REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Insert the front end of the rear door outside handle into the rear door outside handle frame.

NOTICE:
If the bellcrank lever is not pulled and held when installing the outside handle, the bellcrank lever will interfere with the outside handle and the release plate may be damaged.

(b) Insert the rear end of the rear door outside handle into the rear door outside handle frame. Next, slide the rear door outside handle toward the front of the vehicle to install it.

(c) Pull down the door handle holder as shown by the arrow and lock the front door outside handle.

16. INSTALL REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER

(a) Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, install the rear door outside handle cover with the screw.

Torque : 4.0 Nm (41 kgf-cm, 35 in-lbf)

17. INSTALL SLIDE DOOR REAR LOCK ASSEMBLY (w/o Power Slide Door) Installation

18. INSTALL POWER SLIDE DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY (w/ Power Slide Door) Installation

19. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE LOCKING LINK PROTECTOR

(a) Engage the clamp and install the rear door inside locking link protector.

(b) Install the nut.

Torque : 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf)

20. INSTALL SLIDE DOOR FRONT LOCK ASSEMBLY Installation

21. INSTALL REAR DOOR WINDOW REAR LOWER FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the rear door window rear lower frame with the 2 bolts.

Torque : 6.2 Nm (63 kgf-cm, 55 in-lbf)

22. INSTALL REAR DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Apply MP grease to the sliding parts of the rear door window regulator.

(b) Install the temporary bolt A to the rear door window regulator.

(c) Temporarily install the rear door window regulator.

(d) Tighten the 6 bolts in the order shown in the illustration to install the rear door window regulator.

Torque : 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf)

23. INSTALL REAR DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Insert the rear door into the door panel as indicated by the arrows, in the order shown in the illustration.

Torque : 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf)

(b) Install the rear door glass with the 2 bolts.

24. INSTALL NO. 2 REAR DOOR GLASS RUN

(a) Install the No. 2 slide door glass run with the 2 bolts.

Torque : 6.2 Nm (63 kgf-cm, 55 in-lbf)

25. INSTALL SUNSHADE HOOK

(a) Engage the claw and install the sunshade hook.

26. INSTALL REAR DOOR GLASS RUN

(a) Install the rear door glass run.

27. INSTALL REAR DOOR GLASS OUTER WEATHERSTRIP ASSEMBLY

Use the same procedure as for the LH side .

28. INSTALL REAR DOOR WINDOW FRAME REAR MOULDING

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side .

29. INSTALL SLIDE DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER

(a) Engage the clamp.

(b) Attach a new slide door service hole cover according to the reference points on the slide door panel.

NOTICE:
Securely install the slide door service hole cover avoiding wrinkles and air bubbles.

(c) Engage the 2 clamps.

30. INSTALL SLIDE DOOR FULL OPEN STOP LOCK ASSEMBLY

(a) Insert the 2 bolts and slide door full open stop lock.

Torque : 7.5 Nm (76 kgf-cm, 66 in-lbf)

(b) Engage the 5 clamps.

31. INSTALL POWER SLIDE DOOR MOTOR UNIT (w/ Power Slide Door) Installation

32. INSTALL SLIDE RAIL END MOULDING (w/ Power Slide Door)

(a) Engage the clamp and 2 claws and install the slide rail end moulding.

33. INSTALL QUARTER WINDOW GLASS (w/ Power Slide Door)

Installation

34. INSTALL REAR DOOR WIRE (w/o Power Slide Door)

(a) Engage the 2 clips and install the rear door No. 1 wire.

(b) Install the 2 bolts.

Torque : 6.2 Nm (63 kgf-cm, 55 in-lbf)

(c) Install the 3 clamps.

(d) Connect the connectors.

(e) Install the bolt and connect the ground wire.

Torque : 8.5 Nm (87 kgf-cm, 75 in-lbf)

(f) Engage the guide and install the bolt.

Torque : 6.2 Nm (63 kgf-cm, 55 in-lbf)

(g) Connect the connectors.

35. INSTALL REAR DOOR WIRE (w/ Power Slide Door)

(a) Engage the 2 clips and install the rear door No. 1 wire.

(b) Install the 2 bolts.

Torque : 6.2 Nm (63 kgf-cm, 55 in-lbf)

(c) Install the 6 clamps.

(d) Connect the connectors.

(e) Install the bolt and connect the ground wire.

Torque : 8.5 Nm (87 kgf-cm, 75 in-lbf)

(f) Engage the guide and install the bolt.

Torque : 6.2 Nm (63 kgf-cm, 55 in-lbf)

(g) Connect the connectors.

36. INSTALL QUARTER TRIM COVER HOLE

(a) Engage the 4 claws and install the quarter trim cover hole.

37. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE Installation

38. INSTALL REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the rear door inside handle with the 3 screws.

(b) Connect each rod.

39. INSTALL SLIDE DOOR HANDLE ASSEMBLY (w/o Power Slide Door) Installation

40. INSTALL SLIDE DOOR HANDLE ASSEMBLY (w/ Power Slide Door) Installation

41. INSTALL SLIDE DOOR DOWN FEMALE STOPPER

(a) Install the slide door down female stopper with the 2 bolts.

Torque : 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf)

42. INSTALL SLIDE DOOR WINDOW GARNISH

(a) Engage the 2 clips and the claw and install the slide door window garnish to the slide door glass inner weatherstrip.

43. INSTALL REAR DOOR GLASS INNER WEATHERSTRIP

(a) Engage the clip to install the rear door glass inner weatherstrip with slide door window garnish.

44. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for 10 Speakers) Installation

45. INSTALL REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Connect the connector.

(b) Engage the 15 clips and remove the rear door trim board.

(c) Using a T25 "TORX" socket wrench, install the screw.

46. INSTALL REAR DOOR ARMREST BASE UPPER PANEL

(a) Engage the claw and 2 clips and install the rear door armrest base upper panel.

47. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

Torque : 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf)

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
